Adult Therapy

Psychotherapy and counselling can make a huge difference to many people’s lives. A journey to understand ourselves more fully and an opportunity to be truly heard is something that is life changing.

Therapy provides an opportunity to work through difficult thoughts, feelings, and emotions that arise for us. These may be related to a specific life event, a recurrent pattern in relationships you wish to change or something from your past.

Within a warm , caring relationship in the therapy room we can come to understand how the past can impact us today and to develop lifelong skills supporting resilience, self knowledge and emotional wellbeing. This is life changing.

I have significant experience within the NHS and the independent sector of working with adults impacted by trauma, postnatal illness, infant loss, neurodivergence , complex childhood experiences and current family relationships.

A narrow dirt trail winds through a dense green forest with tall trees and thick foliage.

As a therapist I have worked with many people in acute distress and offer a warm, collaborative approach to identify solutions with individuals whatever the cause of their current difficulties .

You may want support with emotional distress or perhaps you are seeking tools to manage anxiety, current relationship difficulties or issues from your childhood?

You may have been diagnosed with Chronic fatigue or Fibromyalgia and are seeking psychological support.

Alternately you may be seeking to talk with someone you trust and wish to connect on a deeper level than other relationships offer you.

I know from personal experience that it can feel really daunting taking the first steps into therapy. It is a courageous thing to do but it can be truly transformative.

Please feel you can contact me for an initial chat so that you can further understand the support I offer and if I seem to be the right therapist for you.
